14/10/11 15:25 (UTC)We actually have to drop it off at the brake place on Sunday because the brakes are scary soft (Silverado Z71, extended cab, long bed ... BIG truck needs working brakes ;)).
He's willing to settle for a car, if he has to, but he got screwed out of a truck 3 years ago because a stupid bitch couldn't drive, and he got blamed for the accident, so we were out of money there, and we needed a vehicle w/ 4wd. Only thing available fast was the SUV we have (which we adore, so it worked out), but he got stuck with the ugly, nasty car (that I hated).
So, we're having to get either another car, because we have a vehicle w/ 4wd, and if I have to use it in snow, I'll be going a route a bus has to take, so I'd be good to go with a car, but if we go truck, we have to have a little bigger because of the kids (if SUV needs work, I'll have to use said truck, and yeah, LOL)
Long story short: car died ... completely. We're using a truck with 12mpg, when we were used to 40, and need to replace ASAP, so we can give it back.
