What’s My Dream?

sarahcb1208Mishelle asked that question in a blog post, and you know what? I really have to think on that. I responded with this:
That’s true, but it’s not the whole story. I want to learn to take pictures that people would want to buy, whether it would be limited prints, or unlimited.
I wanna be able to take a picture like this, and make it the best it can. I want to see a photograph in everything I do.
BUT! There’s always a but. I want to still love taking pictures of my kids and doing things without worrying “will this sell?”
Besides photography, I love to write. *looks at blog* Okay, that’s pretty freaking obvious. I look up to people like Sherrilyn Kenyon, who writes several different series, and they’re all different! Oh, and addictive. Plus, she’s raising a houseful of boys, and life. I look up to The Pioneer Woman (Ree Drummond). She’s written a children’s book, has a cooking show, blogs, and homeschools. I am constantly amazed at her brilliance. I also look up to Lotus (The Sarcastic Mom). She has this amazing little boy and takes absolutely GORGEOUS pictures. And I can’t forget Mishelle, of course. She’s the one, along with 2 or 3 others, holding a class to help people find and follow their dreams. How freaking AWESOME is that.
I want to do that. I want to find and follow my dreams, whatever they might be, and then I want to help others do the same. I think that is my true dream

I dream of being able to work from home, making a good amount of money, so that I can take a vacation and not have to worry if we’ll have enough for bills, because my husband would be losing all that OT. Whether it be by my writing, my photography, or something :D
