I was complaining in a recent chat that I was just worn out and that my sugar levels kept taking a freefall. So, [livejournal.com profile] writingvixen gave me a great recipe to try out:

put in about two cups of ice and add 2 cups of milk
then pulse it until it starts to look chunky
then add 1/3 cup peanut butter and applesauce, if you have it
a little bit of honey, if you have THAT, if not, just a table spoon of brown sugar
and blend until it's a nice consistency

then drink

So, I finally made it today, and did the adventure in pictures Smile

Banana Smoothie :: Step 1
Gather those ingredients. Smile I did applesauce instead of honey or brown sugar.
One small suggestion: use SMOOTH peanut butter Winking smile

Day 21 → A recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 1 c. English walnuts
  • 1 stick butter (melted and cooled)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. chocolate chips
  • 1 lg. unbaked pie shell

Directions

  1. Add eggs and butter, mix together well.

  2. Add remaining ingredients, pour into pie shell.

  3. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350 degrees.

I play up with the chocolate chips and use white chips, or butterscotch, or peanut butter. I also usually use pecans, since I space out and grab them instead of the walnuts
