I was complaining in a recent chat that I was just worn out and that my sugar levels kept taking a freefall. So, writingvixen gave me a great recipe to try out:
put in about two cups of ice and add 2 cups of milk
then pulse it until it starts to look chunky
then add 1/3 cup peanut butter and applesauce, if you have it
a little bit of honey, if you have THAT, if not, just a table spoon of brown sugar
and blend until it's a nice consistencythen drink
So, I finally made it today, and did the adventure in pictures
Gather those ingredients. I did applesauce instead of honey or brown sugar.
One small suggestion: use SMOOTH peanut butter
Then I added the milk and ice to the blender. It took about one tray to get two cups
Pulse … pulse … pulse
Measure out your peanut butter. It was about 2 big spoonsful. The bigger ones that come with your regular silverware sets.
Added it and the applesauce to the milk and ice mixture. Blended. I didn’t take a video of that,
Test consistency, and ignore the pile of dishes in the background. I’m doing breakfast first
Pour into a cup and test. As you can see, I had to fill up a few
